It's not surprising I ended up near the water, and though I didn't have my tripod, I took some really long shots. Long shots as in both distance and odds of capturing anything crisp enough to post. The truth is that I could not tell what kind of birds they were from my vantage point for the most part. The Mallards, and the white one were close, but the rest were not.
Fairly sure this guy is a Double Crested Cormorant.
Going with Loon, but not positive, this was a really long way off and not as sharp as I'd like. |
Not really good with my trees, but I liked these small flowers.
New shoots.
The next couple are Honeysuckle blossoms. I wish you cold smell these, it was wonderful.
This guy must have had an itch. Aren't you glad you have arms?
This has me concerned. The male Mallard has a string hanging from his bill. Wondering if it's fishing line. It was there the whole time I was watching him.
Need to ID this guy too!
You saw this guy earlier, he was swimming with the Mallards, still looking to ID him.
Another view
And lastly, another that I haven't figured out yet!
